Ground Control wins Sustainable Company of the Year at the 2024 Pro Landscaper Business Awards

The awards ceremony also saw success being highly commended for ‘Design Studio of the Year’

Celebrating alongside the best in the landscaping and maintenance industry, Ground Control was awarded ‘Sustainable Company of the Year’ and highly commended in the ‘Design Studio of the Year’ category.

Winning ‘Sustainable Company of the Year’ reaffirmed Ground Control's ongoing commitment to sustainability and biodiversity as one of the first 1000 UK B-Corporations, and shows the impact of significant developments at the Wildfell Centre for Environmental Recovery.

In 2023, this action was amplified with the validation of plans to become net zero for 2038 by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) and the launch of the companies second Ground Control centre for environmental recovery.

On receiving the award, Jason Knights, Managing Director, commented:

I am proud to see us receive Sustainable Company of the Year. We always put sustainability at the forefront of our business, operations, and processes and in the last 12 months have made some fantastic steps forward. The external validation of our net zero ambitions and the launch of Devana have been important parts of this, but there have been significant improvements across the whole business that have allowed us to win this award. Ground Control was also highly commended in the ‘Design Studio of the Year’ category on the back of a Silver-Gilt-winning partnership with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, which is set to return to the Chelsea Flower Show this May.
