Ground Control recertifies as a carbon neutral organisation
We are very proud to say Ground Control has now officially recertified as a carbon-neutral company. Moreover, we have reduced our direct carbon footprint by 691 tCO2e since last year.
We have continued to work with The Carbon Trust to calculate our carbon footprint for FYE2019 to 2021. This assessment measures the emissions from our fleet, offices, fuel consumption, business travel and electricity usage.
A carbon-neutral organisation has no net increase in global emission of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere as a result of purchasing carbon offsets. Our carbon neutral status is the first step in the journey to net- zero certification, which includes the indirect emissions from our supply chain.
You will find the updated certificate and further information to support our carbon neutral status, here.
Thank you to all our GC colleagues who have supported our carbon journey so far including those who have provided data and consultation in our target setting workshops.
Please email Sophie Stephens, Head of Environment and Sustainability to answer any queries or requests from clients to report emissions.
